How Can upper Abdominal Discomfort Along With Gastritis Be Treated?

Hi, I ve had IBS for years but lately I ve had excessive, foul gas and some discomfort in my upper right abdomen. I feel bloated frequently and a,lways feel like I need to have a bowel movement. Occasionally I have these spasms that start in my shoulders, all thru my torso. The other day the pressure was pretty intense and I vomited. My doctor has given me hyoscomine? For the spasms and that works but I wonder if this is all IBS related.

Hello,

Yes, it can be due to IBS. You need to do some dietary modifications first.

Take light meals, avoid foods which cause gases and acidity. You take plenty of liquids and have the habit of light exercise.

You also reduce the intake of beverages, coffee, sugars in the diet. Use curd and milk combined in solution form.

Avoid smoking once for all. You take Lansoprazole once daily for 3 weeks. You will feel better by following this plan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
